A growing, ambitious housebuilder in Chelmsford is looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to bring rigour, pace and commercial insight to a busy finance function. If you enjoy building strong processes, partnering with ops, and helping a business scale — this is one with real influence and visibility.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning the month-end close, management accounts and board reporting
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning
- Strengthening financial controls, processes and reporting cadence
- Partnering with construction and commercial teams to drive performance
- Overseeing audit, statutory accounts, VAT/CIS and compliance
- Developing and mentoring the team as the business grows
