Large retail / FMCG consumer business based in central London is seeking to hire a part qualified accountant with strong commercial skills. You will help shape decisions through insight, challenge and clear storytelling. You’ll support the Finance Manager with month-end and planning, and partner with the Business Development Finance Manager to evaluate new opportunities and investment decisions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support monthly management accounts: explain variances vs plan, trends, and risks/opportunities
- Track OPEX with the shared service team
- Help deliver annual budgets and weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasts (customer numbers, sales, gross profit, labour)
- Partner with Operations to understand profitability and quantify actions, risks and opportunities
- Support capex appraisals, new business cases and post-investment reviews
- Build efficient, accurate Excel models to improve ways of working
