Financial Accountant
£55,000-£65,000 + 10% bonus + excellent benefits
We are recruiting a Financial Accountant position for a fast-growing company based in Chelmsford, Essex. They are seeking an ACA qualified accountant seeking a first move into Industry, with scope to step up to a more senior role within 12-18 months' time.
Working in brand new offices in central Chelmsford, your role will cover the following areas:
- Ownership of month end reporting
- Consolidation of monthly submissions, providing sufficient challenge to divisonal finance teams in their delivery against budget
- Develop strong & effective working relationships across the Group
- Assist in preparation of the consolidated profit forecast & 5-year business plan; annual budget process
- Assist in financial modelling to support business decisions
- Consolidation of short and long-term cashflows
- Assist in submission of quarterly financial packs to the bank
- Develop and maintain controls / policies / procedures
- Assist with production of the consolidated Annual Report under IFRS
- Assist in annual audit, corporation tax, VAT
- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly Board Pack
Your background
- Practice-trained accountant (ACA / ACCA qualified)
- Strong bookkeeping and technical accounting knowledge
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Self-starter, someone who takes Initiative
