Regional Finance Manager – Major Housebuilder
Birmingham / West Midlands
£70,000 – £80,000 + Car/Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Finance Manager to join one of the UK’s leading housebuilders, supporting a significant and growing regional operation based in Birmingham.
Working closely with the Regional/Divisional Finance Director and senior operational leadership team, you will play a key role in driving financial performance across the region, providing high-quality commercial insight and ensuring robust financial control.
The Role
You will take responsibility for a broad range of financial and commercial activities, including:
- Partnering with senior operational and commercial teams across the region
- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets
- Providing detailed analysis of regional and development performance
- Challenging and supporting land, sales, build and commercial teams
- Monitoring site profitability, margins, cash flow and cost performance
- Reviewing development appraisals and investment proposals
- Identifying risks and opportunities and providing clear recommendations to senior management
- Supporting the Regional Finance Director with strategic planning and decision-making
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring accurate reporting
- Leading, developing and mentoring members of the regional finance team
The Candidate
We are looking for a commercially minded qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong business partnering skills.
Previous experience within housebuilding, residential development or a closely related construction/property environment would be highly advantageous.
You will need to be comfortable working with senior operational stakeholders, challenging performance where appropriate and translating financial information into clear commercial actions.
