As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll support the Maintenance Manager in carrying out repairs, upkeep, and safety checks throughout the hotel. The role requires a practical, reliable, detail-oriented individual with a can‑do attitude and strong work ethic. This part‑time position is 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and decorating tasks
- Carry out daily checks on lighting, heating, air conditioning, and safety systems
- Support general upkeep of hotel interiors and exteriors
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and staff reports of issues
- Help maintain a tidy, safe, and well‑organised maintenance storage area
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with health and safety standards
- Assist with setting up or moving furniture, equipment, or deliveries as needed
- Work with external contractors when on site and ensure proper support and supervision
- Keep maintenance logs up to date in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager
