We are currently looking for a Senior Business Administrator to join our Lincoln team, combining senior administrative support responsibilities with reception and front-of-house duties. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a varied role, supporting Client Managers and Business Directors while also providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact for our clients and visitors. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office, supporting workflow management, assisting junior team members and delivering an excellent client experience.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Business Administrator, your role will be key to ensuring the smooth running of our business unit. Your responsibilities will be split across senior administration support and reception/client services.
Senior Administration Duties
- Providing high-level administrative support to Directors and Client Managers, including document preparation, email management, reports and presentations
- Overseeing and prioritising workflows to ensure deadlines are met across multiple teams
- Supervising and mentoring junior administration staff, offering guidance and support to enhance their development
- Coordinating appointments, meetings and events for Directors and wider teams
- Maintaining accurate computer records, including document scanning and workflow updates
- Handling confidential client information with discretion and professionalism
- Supporting seminars, events and business meetings as required
- Working to develop and improve efficiencies within the administration team and wider business teams
Reception & Client Services Duties
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors and colleagues
- Greeting visitors and ensuring they receive a warm and professional welcome
- Answering incoming telephone calls and handling queries efficiently
- Managing meeting room bookings and ensuring client areas are maintained to a high standard
- Providing a positive client experience and representing Nicholsons in a professional manner
- Supporting the smooth running of the office by assisting with day-to-day front-of-house requirements
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an experienced administrator who is confident providing senior-level support while also enjoying the client-facing aspects of a reception role. You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a senior administrative role, ideally within professional services, accountancy or a client-focused environment
- Experience working in reception, front-of-house or a customer-facing administrative role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interact with clients, colleagues and senior stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A discreet and professional approach to handling sensitive client information
- A commitment to delivering excellent client service and maintaining a professional office environment
