Company Description

Nicholson Nash is a luxury bespoke Joinery design and manufacturing company based in Walton On Thames. We are currently looking for a talented CAD furniture designer/draughtsperson to join the Nicholson Nash Team. Our primary focus is Prime Residental West London properties where we specialise in the joinery fit-outs of entire properties.

Role Description

This is a full-time office-based role for a CAD Designer/Manager specialising in bespoke fitted and free-standing furniture. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Sketchup or similar is essential alongside a sound understanding of the construction of bespoke furniture and how this translates into accurate technical drawings.

Key responsibilities:

  • collaboration with clients/interior designers/architects on furniture designs. Including the production of 3D conceptual designs.
  • management of client drawings and design schedules.
  • production and development of high-quality technical CAD construction drawings.
  • collaboration with subcontracted CAD designers.
  • collaboration with the furniture makers and CNC team where necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Proficiency in Sketchup or similar
  • Experience in high-end residential furniture manufacture (CRITICAL)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
