Nicholson Mclaren Aviation/Engines Ltd – based near Wokingham, Berkshire is a name synonymous with engine building and engine development since the 1970s. Due to continued growth, we currently have several vacancies available to support and work alongside our senior engineers in our modern engine build workshops.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete disassembly and rebuild of high-performance internal combustion engines.
- Take on a complete engine strip and rebuild to a very high standard.
- Calculate cam/ignition timing, compression ratios, etc.
- Use specialist tooling for measuring/inspection.
- Read and understand technical drawings.
- Be PC literate and capable of developing build book/report writing.
- Own tools and transport.

Experienced Parts and Office Administrator
Nicholson Mclaren Engines have a full-time vacancy for an experienced parts & office administrator to support their parts department and daily office functions for our engine build shop.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role is mostly office based however there may be occasional driving required to visit clients or suppliers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock control – order planning, placing orders with suppliers, controlling stock inventory, controlling stock levels, picking & processing parts for in house projects, limited amount of retail sales.
- Maintaining risk assessments and health and safety procedures.
- Support daily office functions that include admin support, data processing, liaising with clients and suppliers via telephone/email.
- Full-time position working a 40-hour week.
ABOUT YOU

Located south of Reading in Berkshire – Nicholson Mclaren Aviation are a leading UK General Aviation Engine Maintenance facility specialising in engines manufactured by Lycoming or Continental.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for carrying out repairs and overhauls on 4 & 6 cylinder air-cooled piston engines (Boxer Configuration Flat 4 & 6 cyl., Normally Aspirated & Turbo). Support dyno engine testing. Ensure paperwork/documentation is completed within the scope of our MOE and EASA 145 approval. Ensure work complies with mandated aviation regulations. Full training will be provided. Full-time position working a 40-hour week.
