Established 30+ years, they’re stable and not afraid to invest, and design and manufacture an award-winning range of products at their sites in East Lancashire.

With a healthy pipeline of new products, recent growth through acquisition, and with investment in the £millions, they currently seek an accomplished Manufacturing Engineering and Projects Manager to lead a team of dedicated manufacturing engineers, working on a wide range of projects concerning new product introduction, continuous improvement and capital spend.

We seek the following:

  • Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering in a mechanical assembly environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership and management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing manufacturing/production engineering teams and projects.
  • Experience managing significant capex projects, from cradle to grave
  • Proficiency in CAD software for process layout and other engineering tools.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies and will engineer processes with ‘value added activity’ and waste reduction in mind

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a manufacturing engineering leader to take on a role offering significant technical challenge, with the support and resources – both people and budget – to deliver superb solutions.

This is a permanent role offering longevity and career opportunities as this business continues to innovate and grow.

As this role covers 2/3 manufacturing sites, some (mainly) local travel will be required within the East Lancs area, and so a driving licence is essential. Some infrequent travel elsewhere in the UK for Group projects may be required.

NOTE - this role does not involve maintenance management.
