We are delighted to represent a prestigious, multinational manufacturing organisation in their appointment of a Human Resources Manager for one of their many UK manufacturing facilities. This Birmingham based site is undergoing significant financial investment and cultural change further to a fairly recent acquisition. The HR Manager will provide a comprehensive business partnering service to this busy industrial site, developing and implementing solid HR practices that align appropriately with the wider Group, covering all manner of HR matters to include change management and organisation design, sourcing and selection, performance and productivity, learning and development, talent management and succession, communication and engagement, and employee and industrial relations. This role will suit an accomplished HR professional, who is particularly motivated by managing change, and with a proven track record in cultural transformation in a manufacturing setting. Key skills * Qualified to degree level or equivalent CIPD accreditation * Proven track record in similar HR Manager, or HR Business Partner capacity in a manufacturing or engineering setting * Expert knowledge of UK employment law and its application, able to act as a confident and decisive subject matter expert in this field, and who can coach managers at all levels * Previous experience of HR best practice and implementing progressive policies to achieve optimum employee engagement * Good EHS awareness and a ‘safety first’ mentality * An energetic change agent, resilient, level headed and always keen to challenge the status quo and drive improvements to progress and refine the people agenda * Proactive, analytical and logical problem solver * Strong communication and relationship building skills * Happy to walk the shop floor, desire to become truly operationally aware and go to Gemba to seek to understand challenges facing employees at all levels * Ideally happy to travel monthly to other Group sites in the UK (there’s a partner site on the South Coast) * Good collaborative skills and wanting to share ideas and strategies with other Group sites. * Ambitious to progress – we are looking for someone who will fit into a group succession plan Join a buoyant and stable manufacturing organisation offering structured opportunities for further career development in a highly dynamic setting, the West Midlands is home to several Group sites offering good potential for internal moves in the medium to long term.
