A North Wales based manufacturer seeks to recruit a Quality Engineer on a 12-month fixed term contract, to focus on plant quality process improvement and defect reduction, whilst ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Working closely with R&D, production and purchasing departments, the Quality Engineer will conduct RCA activities and implement robust corrective actions, working closely with production to coach on quality procedures and defect identification. They will also work on SQA projects, internal defect and scrap reduction projects, and be involved in process audits internally and with suppliers.
Key skills:
- Apprentice trained or HNC/HND/degree educated Engineer
- Experience in a similar quality engineering role in a mechanically biased assembly setting
- Good knowledge of problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, PPAP and SPC
- Familiarity with GD&T and metrology techniques preferred
- Good knowledge of ISO standards, with preference for experience with AS9100 or IATF16949 standards
