Lancaster Nicholson Hird Ltd is exclusively representing a long-established Lancaster based SME manufacturer. They seek to recruit a dynamic and engaging Operations Manager to oversee and improve SQDCP performance in a technically complex manufacturing facility, with a focus on the development of operational excellence and ongoing training and advancement of the production, engineering and technical teams.
As part of a close knit SLT, this role will also mean full accountability for delivering on manufacturing performance, quality and customer satisfaction in manufactured products.
Key skills:
- Solid level of factory based manufacturing experience, ideally bespoke make to order batch manufacturing setting with some technical complexity.
- Experienced in a manufacturing operations management role in a small to medium sized industrial company setting.
- Experience in implementing and sustaining manufacturing KPIs and SOPs.
- Experience in the implementation of a range of Lean and CI tools and driving a positive and sustainable change culture.
- Experience of planning systems ERP.
- Knowledge of quality management systems ISO9001.
- A safety first mentality.
- Working knowledge of operational costs and budgets.
- Able to demonstrate success in a manufacturing operations leadership role through quantifiable achievements around both sustained positive culture change, Lean methodology and continuous improvement.
