Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
to lead and support all
HSE
projects and programmes on a flagship site based in North Wales. Always treating Safety as number one priority, this site require a HSE Manager to provide leadership and expertise to all levels of the workforce in best practice around HSE and legal compliance, working with a small team to promote an excellent HSE culture on site through driving ongoing behavioural safety initiatives, encouraging visible safety leadership, providing consistent process hazard analysis and facilitating root cause investigation of all incidents and near misses to ensure corrective action every time. Key skills Qualified to minimum degree level in a safety related discipline – BSc, MSc,
NEBOSH
Diploma or equivalent GradIOSH or CMIOSH preferred Significant experience specialising in a Safety
Leadership
role, within a chemical or other similar
‘high hazard' manufacturing
or engineering environment – essential Experience in a DSEAR environment Experience in process safety management (PSM) – process hazard analysis (PHA) would be
advantageious Previous experience in root cause problem solving and leading root cause analysis investigations with multifunctional teams Sound knowledge of all current UK Health and Safety legislation in high risk manufacturing environments Strong leadership skills and an inclusive, motivational and coaching style of management Ability to enthuse and engage others on all things Health and Safety related Excellent IT and report writing/presentation skills We seek a seasoned HSE professional from a chemical/manufacturing/engineering background, who is results focused, a strong problem solver with excellent decision-making capabilities, well developed communication, influencing and leadership skills, and able to work collaboratively and with integrity with other functions both locally and internationally.
