Our client is a London-based growth consultancy working with private equity-backed businesses. Their work is roughly 75% value acceleration and GTM strategy, 25% transaction work, and they often stay engaged with portfolio management teams post-deal. They've doubled headcount in the last 12 months and are targeting 30 people by year-end. The team is ex-strategy consulting, PE, and operations. They compete on trust and speed rather than formal pitch processes, which means the work moves fast and client relationships are genuinely close.

As Manager, you'll lead 1–2 engagements at a time from scoping through to delivery. You'll own the client relationship, direct the analysis, and translate data into commercial recommendations that land with senior stakeholders and PE investors.

Day-to-day:

  • Lead projects end-to-end: timelines, workstreams, client relationships
  • Get hands-on with data using SQL, Tableau, and Excel
  • Turn analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and PE investors
  • Coach junior consultants and shape how work gets done
  • Support business development and contribute to in-house tool development

What they're looking for:

  • 4–6 years of consulting experience, ideally including PE or PE-backed work
  • Strong technical fluency in SQL, Tableau, and Excel
  • Proven ability to lead projects or significant workstreams independently
  • Clear communicator who can present confidently to senior audiences
  • Industry-agnostic background: they value breadth over sector specialism

Why this role:

You'll get genuine project ownership earlier than most consulting environments offer. Engagements are relationship-led rather than RFP-driven, so there's less bureaucracy and more direct impact. The culture is high-trust and the team is selective about who joins. This will suit someone who invests in their own development without being prompted. If you're waiting to be told what to learn next, it's probably not the right fit.

Manager | Growth/GTM Consulting employer: Nicholson Glover

Our client is an exceptional employer, offering a dynamic and high-trust work culture that prioritises genuine relationships over bureaucracy. With a focus on employee growth, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects early in your career while working alongside a talented team of ex-strategy consultants and private equity professionals. The hybrid working model in London allows for flexibility, making it an attractive place for those seeking meaningful and impactful consulting roles.
