Most organisations are sitting on data they don't fully understand, can't fully trust, and aren't getting full value from. Fixing that is exactly what our client does. Rigorously, commercially, and at board level.
This is a specialist boutique that helps major organisations treat data as the strategic asset it is. Their work spans the full data strategy lifecycle: understanding which data matters most, assessing its health and maturity across the enterprise, diagnosing and fixing what's underperforming, building the governance and operating models to manage it properly, and quantifying the value it creates. Their clients are some of the UK's largest infrastructure, utilities, transport, and financial services organisations. The CDO and CFO are typically in the room.
They're growing their delivery team and looking for a Manager to join as a Solution Consultant. This is a core delivery role; you'll own workstreams, produce high-quality analytical outputs, and manage day-to-day client relationships with confidence across a genuinely varied portfolio of data strategy work.
What the work actually looks like:
- Own workstreams end-to-end, from brief to client-ready output
- Build analysis, models, and structured presentations to a high standard
- Contribute to data maturity assessments, data condition reviews, governance framework design, and investment prioritisation work
- Manage day-to-day client interactions — workshops, findings sessions, relationship-building at mid-level
- Mentor and review the work of more junior analysts
- Contribute to the firm's growing library of methods, frameworks, and accelerators
What we're looking for:
- You'll be a structured, delivery-focused consultant — likely at manager level — with a track record of owning analytical workstreams and communicating findings clearly to clients.
- Experience in a consulting, professional services, or advisory environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — comfortable taking a complex brief and producing clear, well-structured outputs
- Domain experience in at least one of: data governance, data quality or management, data strategy, operating model design, change and transformation, or financial/commercial analysis
- Confident communicator, written and verbal, with experience presenting findings and running client sessions
- Awareness of commercial context — scope, quality, and what good delivery looks like
Why now, why this firm:
- The field is genuinely emerging. Data Economics and Data Asset Management are disciplines being defined right now, and this firm is at the front of it. Joining at this stage means being part of building something, not inheriting a finished model.
- The work is real and varied from day one. Maturity assessments, governance frameworks, condition diagnostics, investment cases — you'll build fluency across the full data strategy lifecycle, not just one narrow specialism.
- The culture is built on trust. A small, high-calibre team with no unnecessary layers. Your work is visible, your contribution counts, and the people around you are genuinely excellent.
- The package is competitive. Benchmarked against consulting market rates, with private health cover, enhanced mental health support, generous family policies, and access to professional financial advice.
- Flexibility with purpose. Around 60% in-person collaboration; genuine autonomy to shape the rest of your week around where you do your best work.
This role is being recruited on a confidential basis. The client's name will be shared with suitable candidates at first conversation stage. Please apply to find out more.
