Job Description

Data Scientist | Strategy and Innovation Consultant | £45-50k (DOE)

Our client is a strategy, innovation and design consultancy where consultancy is the heartbeat of the business. Data and analytics are central to how they help clients navigate complex challenges and make confident choices.

With a small, highly capable analytics team embedded into consulting work, this is an environment where technical excellence, clear communication and practical impact matter more than shiny buzzwords. You’ll also work across two closely linked consultancies, giving you variety and exposure without corporate sprawl.

You will:

🔍 Translate business and strategy questions into the right analytical approaches

📈 Design and deliver bespoke analytics using R (Python a bonus)

🧠 Work with survey data – segmentation, tracking, driver analysis, choice-based modelling

🤝 Partner closely with consultants and researchers, shaping projects from start to finish

🗣️ Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

🚀 Contribute to internal innovation, tools and ways of working

Roughly 75% of your time will be client delivery, with the rest spent on development, experimentation and IP.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You’ll have 3–5 years’ experience in analytics or research within a consulting-style environment.
  • You’re confident with R (and Python ideally!), comfortable with data, and genuinely curious about analytics, data science and AI.
  • You like explaining the “so what” and working closely with others to make insights land.
