Most organisations know their data isn't in great shape. Very few know exactly why, or what it's actually costing them.

This is a specialist boutique that helps major organisations understand, manage, and get real value from their data. Their work spans data maturity assessments, data quality and condition diagnostics, governance and operating model design, and data investment prioritisation. They have clients across infrastructure, utilities, transport, and financial services. It's rigorous, commercially grounded work that lands at board level.

They're looking for a Consultant to join their delivery team as a Solution Analyst. This is an earlier-career role, but it's not a junior role in the way most firms use that word. You'll be on live client engagements from day one, doing real analytical work, supported by experienced practitioners who are invested in your development.

What the work actually looks like:

  • You'll be part of a squad working on live engagements β€” the analytical engine behind every project. That means preparing and structuring data, conducting research, building models and initial outputs, and contributing to client-ready documents and presentations.
  • The work varies by engagement: one project might involve gathering and analysing data to assess how mature a client's data assets are across the enterprise; another might involve supporting a root cause analysis of why critical data is underperforming, or helping document a governance framework.

Day to day, you can expect to:

  • Prepare, clean, and structure data to support analysis and modelling work
  • Conduct research and produce initial outputs, models, and materials
  • Support data maturity assessments, condition reviews, governance documentation, and investment analysis
  • Use the firm's internal tools and accelerators to support delivery
  • Contribute to client-ready documents and presentations
  • Begin to build client-facing skills through supervised interactions with senior team members

What we're looking for:

  • You'll be intellectually curious, organised, and someone who takes quality seriously. You check your own work. You ask good questions. You want to understand the problem, not just complete the task.
  • Strong analytical and data handling skills β€” comfortable working with data in complex, real-world contexts
  • Some exposure to data, governance, analytics, change, or research through study, placements, or early roles
  • Ability to produce clear, professional written documents and presentations
  • Organised and structured approach to tasks, with the ability to work to a brief and meet deadlines
  • A degree in a relevant discipline β€” data, business, economics, or analytical β€” or equivalent experience. We assess this contextually.

Why now, why this firm:

  • The field is genuinely emerging. Data Economics and Data Asset Management are being defined right now. Joining early means growing with a discipline that is still taking shape β€” and being part of what it becomes.
  • The development is structured and real. You'll build fluency across the firm's full range of work β€” maturity assessments, condition diagnostics, governance design, and investment cases β€” supported by experienced practitioners with a genuine interest in your growth.
  • The culture is built on trust. A small, high-calibre team where your work is visible and your contribution counts from the start.
  • The package is thoughtfully designed. Competitive salary, private health cover with enhanced mental health support, generous family policies, and access to professional financial advice.
  • Flexibility with purpose. Around 60% in-person collaboration in London; genuine autonomy to shape the rest of your week around where you do your best work.

This role is being recruited on a confidential basis. The client's name will be shared with suitable candidates at first conversation stage.
