ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The role of the Delivery Service Operative is to pick customer orders following stock rotation practices, deliver customer orders in accordance with the planned schedule and complete all delivery administration processes. Operates as the face of Vimto OOH at customer outlets ensuring the needs and concerns of the customers are met in an effective and timely manner through own actions or internal escalation. Uses customer interaction and outlet experience to identify potential sales opportunities and customer solutions and highlight internally to commercial or operational management for follow-up. Complete daily housekeeping and stock rotation in depot to ensure minimal waste through short dates and damaged stock as well as participating in the daily/weekly/monthly stock take at depot and responding to any health & safety or quality concerns identified through own actions or internal escalation.

THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Picking customer orders and delivering in accordance with planned schedule & safe systems of work.
  • Completing all delivery administration to a high quality & in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring adherence to agreed customer service levels for delivery of product and consumables.
  • Completing housekeeping and stock rotation in depot.
  • Developing good customer relationships in outlet.
  • Responding professionally to customer complaints, resolving where able to do so or escalating for further investigation where required.
  • Identifying potential sales opportunities and customer solutions when visiting customer premises.
  • Management of allocated vehicle through adhering to regular maintenance and cleanliness requirements and completing daily vehicle checks to ensure safety before use.
  • Ensuring compliance to all legal, people, workplace & facilities, fleet management policies & practices and the OOH governance framework within region.
  • Ensuring compliance with all mandatory training requirements & actively manage own development & learning opportunities.
