Job Title: Training Territory Sales Representative

Job Description

Purpose: As a Territory Sales Representative Trainee, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and learning the sales processes within the region. This position is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings. You will work closely with the sales team, regional leadership, and customers, contributing to the overall success of the territory sales team. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to develop sales skills and foster strong client relationships.

  • Previous experience in sales, inventory, or customer service is a plus but not required.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, plus occasionally extended hours as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for travel to territories)
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask

Product Knowledge

  • Understanding of product offerings: Hyundai, Manac, Dorsey, Capacity, XL Specialized, and Used Equipment
  • Familiarity with prospecting, CRM systems, pipeline management, Karmak, LPO process, and Whiteboard techniques

Territory Management

  • Knowledge of how to prospect for each territory in the region and create effective route plans for salesmen

Reporting and Analysis

  • Ability to report in the CRM to the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Skills in building reports on inventory, customers, and competition for the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team

Customer Relationship Management

  • Understanding of setting up leads and quotes
  • Experienced in assisting with used inventory and inspections

Backup Roles

  • Knowledge of inventory management to back up the Inventory Specialist
  • Marketing skills to post inventory for sale online
  • Ability to attend and contribute to weekly team meetings and training sessions
  • Establishing and maintaining a feedback loop with mentors

Work Setting & Conditions

  • Mainly indoors, environmentally controlled
  • Regular cleaning required
  • Proper workstation setup to avoid slip, trip, and fall hazards
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and endure long periods of physical activity

Job Duties

  • Gained an understanding of product offerings: Hyundai, Manac, Dorsey, Capacity, XL Specialized, and Used Equipment
  • Gain an understanding of sales processes: prospecting, CRM, pipeline, Karmak, LPO process, Whiteboard
  • Prospect for each territory in the region: Create a route plan for salespeople and attend routes for training and team building
  • Assist with setting up leads and quotes
  • Report in the CRM to the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Build reports on inventory for the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Build reports on customers for the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Assist Used Equipment Manager and Sales team with used inventory and inspections
  • Back up Inventory Specialist during vacations and projects
  • Back up Marketing by leading and posting inventory for sale online
  • Build reports on competition for the Regional Manager, Director, and Executive Team
  • Attend weekly team meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain a feedback loop: Establish a system for receiving regular feedback from mentors
  • Other duties as assigned
