About the Position
The Lane County Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults with opioid use disorder in an outpatient setting.
As a valued member of our treatment team, you will:
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches
- Collaborate closely with a team of clinicians, peer support specialists, case managers, prescriber’s, and medical professionals
- Support long-term recovery and wellness for our clients with care, empathy, and professionalism

- A Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification or registration as a Clinical Associate
- A strong passion for serving individuals affected by substance use disorders
- Experience or interest in Medication Assisted Treatment and recovery-oriented care

About the Division
The Lane County Medication Assisted Treatment Program uses a holistic model of treatment that embraces traditional abstinence based recovery as well as harm reduction principles. We have a small, but dedicated team who provides medication assisted treatment services to help program participants reduce and ultimately end the use of heroin and other opioid drugs.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 6:00am – 3:00pm

QUALIFICATIONS:
Mental Health Specialist 1 Training & Experience:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work or a related field.
- One year of some experience working directly with mentally or emotionally disturbed clients in the provision of behavioral health services is highly desirable.
Mental Health Specialist 2 Training & Experience:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Two years of responsible professional mental health experience, including one year of experience specific to the program or area of assignment.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
