DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Licensed Psychologist, you will provide psychological services at Selinsgrove Center. You will be responsible for independent and specialized work in clinical, vocational, rehabilitation, educational, and habilitation areas of the psychological services program for individuals with developmental disabilities. In this position, you will evaluate an individual’s psychological strengths and weaknesses through various means including reviewing medical and social case histories, personal interviews, and observation of the individual’s behavior, emotional, and physical condition. You can expect to serve as member of a multidisciplinary treatment team and coordinate with your fellow team members to formulate, implement, and monitor individuals’ comprehensive treatment plans. Additionally, you will testify as an expert witness in legal proceedings regarding individuals served, as well as serve as a mentor to Psychological Services Specialist staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work weekends and holidays as needed. You will also work 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.
- Travel and overtime as needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- All employees must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
