The Township of Exeter, Berks County, Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for the position of Police Officer. Applications may be downloaded here or obtained at the Exeter Township Police Department Office, 4975 Demoss Rd., Reading PA, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Completed applications must be returned to the office on or before 4:00 p.m., September 19, 2025 at the Exeter Township Police Department, or submitted online to info@exeterpolice.com .

Salary Range: $60,685.00 -$116,035.00 per year based on experience.

General Requirements are: Citizen of the United States, 21 years of age or older at the time of hiring, Possess High School Diploma or GED equivalency certificate, Possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, and must be able to pass the following: written test, physical agility test, oral interview, background check, drug screen, psychological examination, polygraph or voice stress analysis examination and physical examination. Applicants must possess hearing, vision, and all other standards in compliance with the criteria established by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officer’s Education and Training Commission and pass all of the requirements in Act-57.

Testing: Candidates who return their completed application by 4:00 pm September 19, 2025 will be invited to participate in a physical agility and written test on Sunday, September 28th, 2025. Time and location of the physical agility and written test will be provided to candidates upon timely submission of a completed application.
