Outreach is seeking a qualified candidate for the Full Time Bilingual Substance Abuse Counselor position in our Outpatient Program located in Islip, Long Island. The Bilingual Counselor is responsible for the delivery and implementation of supervision, support and clinical services to a population of chemically dependent clients with co-occurring and mental health problems.

Job Scope:

· Provide various clinical or substance abuse services.

· Conduct intakes and monitor individual, group, and family therapies.

· Develop service plans and conduct reviews as needed throughout the duration of treatment.

· Provide mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services.

· Complete and maintain documentation according to federal and state guidelines.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· CASAC-T, CASAC, LMSW, or LMHC

· 2-3 years of experience within the behavioral health or substance abuse disorder field

· 1-2 years of experience working in in an OASAS funded facility a plus

· Bilingual Spanish required

· Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning.

· Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
