Our Finance team maintains a healthy balance sheet and delivers essential support for the enterprise, including planning, controllership, funding, capital structure, regulatory compliance, and financial transparency. This enables leadership decision making and timely information delivery.

How you will make an impact

As part of AIG’s Early Career program, you will join a cohort of emerging talent and gain learning experiences and on-the-job exposure to build your career. You will develop knowledge of AIG and the insurance industry through on-the-job experiences and instructor-led masterclasses, with mentoring, networking and volunteering opportunities to connect across the organization.

Finance Analyst Program Overview

The two-year rotational program provides four 6-month rotations across different Finance teams. It includes learning and technical training, performance assessments, formal mentoring, and exposure to senior leaders to support development in a diverse early career talent pool. The Finance function includes Financial Planning and Analysis, Controllership, Tax, Accounting, Operations, Data Management, and Treasury.

Responsibilities

  • Provide key reporting and analytics support, review business performance, drive planning and forecasting, and build operating budgets
  • Perform controllership activities for consolidated financial reporting, provide tax advisory, planning, accounting, compliance, and analytics for all taxes
  • Improve financial management systems, contribute to process improvement or savings initiatives, and participate in finance projects
  • Develop and update reports on capital, forecast, cash flows, funding and liquidity; review business metrics and perform competitive intelligence

Preferred qualifications

  • One or more years of classroom and/or finance internship experience
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Analytical, quantitative, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of fundamental finance and accounting acumen
  • Organized, resourceful and able to work with ambiguity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work across different areas of Finance
