We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee HGV Class 2 Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in logistics and gain their HGV Class 2 licence (Category C). Full training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Undergo training to gain the HGV Class 2/ 7.5 tonne (Category C) licence.
- Assist in vehicle loading/unloading under supervision.
- Learn safe and legal operation of HGVs in compliance with road transport and tachograph regulations.
- Deliver goods to various locations, once fully qualified, ensuring timely and professional service.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers.
- Assist with vehicle checks, maintenance reporting, and cleanliness.
Requirements
- Must hold a full UK driving licence (Cat B) with minimal penalty points.
- Aged 18 or over (due to vehicle insurance requirements).
- Willingness to undertake HGV Class 2/ 7.5 Tonne driver training.
- Good level of physical fitness (some lifting may be required).
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends if required.
