Nicholl Fuels & Oils is seeking a motivated and results-driven Field Sales Representative to develop and grow our customer base across the Greater Belfast & Eastern areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and promoting our full range of fuel and oil products to commercial, agricultural, and domestic customers. This is a field-based role requiring strong relationship building skills, local market knowledge, and a proactive sales approach.
Areas to be covered include: Belfast, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Ballymena, Holywood, Bangor, Carrickfergus, Newtownards, Downpatrick, Ards Peninsula towns, Coast belt of & East.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a territory sales plan for the Belfast & Eastern areas in NI.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across commercial, agricultural, and domestic sectors.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts to maximise retention and revenue.
- Conduct regular face to face client visits.
- Provide product advice and tailored fuel solutions to customers.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms within company guidelines.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of customer interactions and pipeline activity.
- Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven field sales experience (preferably in fuel, oil, energy, or related B2B sectors).
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to build long term customer relationships.
- Self-motivated and target driven.
- Good knowledge of the Belfast market and surrounding areas.
- Experience selling fuel, or energy products.
- Existing network within commercial, transport, construction, or agricultural sectors.
- CRM system experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Professional and customer focused.
- Resilient and results-oriented.
- Organised with strong time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
