Position: Logistics Manager Reporting to: Directors Responsibilities (not limited to) Oversee and manage the distribution department e.g. domestic drivers and routing team across 5 locations Ensure theRouting and Scheduling of all vehicles in your area of responsibility, in compliance with the drivers hours regulations and working time directive. Ensure that the department communicates efficiently with sales teams regarding delivery schedules etc. Ensuring that product is delivered correctly in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner while ensuring H&S and environmental standards are met. Monitor Drivers hours, Breaks, Tachographs in accordance with current legislation. Rota control, Time sheet analysis, daily checks etc. Ensure all necessary departmental documentation and administration is maintained and completed on a daily basis. Responsible for vehicle monitoring and scheduling of minor maintenance issues on domestic tanker fleet in area of your responsibility. Manage Annual Leave and Driver absence and liaise with HR Department. Liaise with HR to facilitate Driver recruitment, e.g. interview, induction and driver training and PPE. Ensure Operations Director is informed of RTAs or any vehicle maintenance issues that may arise. Investigation of transport misdemeanours e.g., RTA, contamination, spillage, property damage, vehicle damage, driver behaviour whilst ensuring completion of all relevant driver paperwork and outcome. Depot Management monitor Product storage, Water dips, Markings/Description, Meters, and Tank gauging to ensure required quality systems standards are maintained. Customer Care Essential Criteria: Previous experience working a supervisory role within the transport sector. Thorough knowledge of transport Regulations and Compliance Possession of category C + E license, ADR License & CPC (desirable) Excellent geographic knowledge of Northern Ireland and familiar with planning/scheduling systems (desirable) Location: Head Office, Greysteel with responsibility for 5 locations Hours: Hours between 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday Friday. Saturday (overtime on rota basis) 40 hours paid (30-minute unpaid lunch break) Salary: £35,000 per annum
