The Nicholl Fuel Oils Group is the largest Independent Oil distributor in Northern Ireland with multiple offices and depots and retail sites across the region. We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Domestic Sales Team Leader to lead our busy sales team at our Head Office in Greysteel. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will oversee the teams' day to day performance, ensuring excellent customer service, strong sales results and the smooth running of the telesales operation.
What you'll be doing:
- Monitoring and motivating Telesales team to ensure a high quality of customer care and maximum sales potential and profitability.
- Maintaining telephone communication with potential or existing customers.
- Processing orders and recording and updating records and data.
- Market intelligence gathering general sales information and assessing market trends.
- Ensuring that all administration and operational practices are completed and carried out as per Company legislation and deadlines, and Company policies are complied with at all times.
- Dealing with staff issues: i.e. Conducting appraisals and performance reviews, training development, assisting in grievance and disciplinary procedures, staff rotas etc. whilst liaising with the HR Director to ensure compliance in all relevant policies and procedures.
- Managing staff absences, holidays, sick leave etc. to ensure that the telesales function is operating efficiently.
- Production of weekly, monthly and quarterly team performance reports.
- Production of monthly commission and bonus payment reports.
- Identify training and skill gaps within the team in order to put improvement plans in place or manage performance where required.
- Liaising with Head Office where necessary to maintain credit control, pricing policies, and human resources records.
- Overseeing general administration procedures.
- Assisting with promotional and general marketing activities.
- Overseeing general I.T. procedures, updating and problem solving.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience leading or supervising a telesales or customer focused team.
- A strong track record of working to sales and performance targets.
- Confident communication skills and an excellent telephone manner.
- Excellent customer service skills and problem solving skills.
- The ability to motivate others, delegate effectively and manage competing priorities.
- A proactive, organised and results-focused approach.
- Strong reporting and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM software, ideally Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage.
Role details:
- Location: Head Office, Greysteel.
- Hours: 40 hours per week. The team operates between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings worked on a rota basis.
- Salary: Negotiable depending on experience, plus bonus.
