Private Equity Associate – Leading US Law Firm – London (6–7 PQE)

A leading US law firm is seeking a commercially astute Private Equity Associate to join its market-leading Private Equity team . This is a rare opportunity to work on complex, high-value cross-border transactions with some of the most prestigious private equity sponsors and financial institutions globally. The London Office is the European office focal point for all PE.

The Role

You will play a key role advising on:

  • Private equity buyouts and disposals
  • Take-private transactions
  • Complex cross-border M&A
  • Portfolio company matters and co-investment structuring
  • Joint ventures and growth equity investments

You will work closely with a high-calibre, collegiate team of partners and associates in London and across the firm’s global offices.

Profile

We are looking for an associate with:

  • 6–7 years\’ post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm (UK, US, or international)
  • Extensive experience in private equity transactions , ideally including cross-border work
  • Strong drafting skills, commercial awareness, and a proactive mindset
  • UK qualification preferred but other common law jurisdictions considered
  • A strong academic background (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
