We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Dementia Carer to join our team as a Night Care Lead. In this key role, you will provide outstanding, person-centred care while supporting, mentoring, and guiding the night staff team to ensure best practices are consistently upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the night team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care with dignity, respect, and empathy.
- Support the development, review, and implementation of individual care plans.
- Mentor and supervise night staff, including providing induction and on-the-job training.
- Oversee medication administration, audits, and stock control to maintain safe and accurate processes.
- Provide specialist support and guidance in dementia care, promoting a calm and reassuring environment.
- Ensure effective communication and handovers between night and day teams.
- Act as a professional role model, demonstrating excellent leadership, teamwork, and a positive approach.
About You
- Proven experience in dementia care within a residential or nursing setting.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A caring, patient, and resilient nature with a passion for making a difference.
- NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care, or equivalent qualification, is preferred.
- Medication management experience essential.
