As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. You will provide compassionate care to older people, including those living with dementia, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued.
No two days are the same. You will support residents with personal care, encourage social engagement, and help create a warm, homely environment.
Your responsibilities may include:- Providing care with a commitment to resident empowerment, respecting residents' dignity, assisting with daily living activities, supporting mobility, and offering emotional support.
- Effectively communicating with residents, families, and the care team, while collaborating to create a positive environment.
- Following care plans, contributing to individualized care, keeping accurate records, and utilising IT systems to contribute to resident well-being.
- Administering and recording medication and completing care plans.
- Supervising a team and carrying out risk assessments.
- Ensuring the home adheres to policies, procedures, and care plans at all times.
- Ensuring the safety and security of residents and staff.
- Being organised with strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving with critical thinking and sound decision-making skills.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.

You will have:
- A kind, patient, and respectful approach to supporting older people.

- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- A Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desired; comprehensive training and support is provided.

- Qualified and experienced Carer with a minimum of 2+ years in a care setting and as a 'Senior Care Assistant'.
