Environmental Safety & Health Assistant

Are you an organised and proactive ESH professional looking for your next challenge? We are supporting a global leader in defence, engineering and advanced technology in the search for an Environmental Safety & Health Assistant to join their team in Havant. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving workplace safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement across multiple UK sites.
In this position, you will:
- Provide ESH guidance and support to managers and employees
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
- Maintain ESH records, policies, procedures and risk registers
- Assist with workplace hazard identification, risk assessments and compliance actions
- Coordinate PPE, first aiders, fire wardens and training records
- Support incident investigations and Net Zero initiatives
- Prepare for internal and external audits and help drive improvements
- Work closely with site representatives across the UK to share best practice
We are looking for someone who has:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience in an ESH-focused role
- Good knowledge of ESH legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation and administration skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK
