Nicholas Howard is delighted to partner with a highly successful and rapidly growing mortgage lending business, and we are currently looking for a Product Manager to join them in a newly created role. Working in a fast‑paced, successful Proposition & Delivery team in their London, Cardiff or Manchester office has never been a better time to join a specialist mortgage lender backed by a global financial institution offering first and second charge loans.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor competitors and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Produce clear insights to inform pricing, product innovation and roadmap decisions.
- Recommend and deliver product roadmaps across all mortgage lines.
- Lead pricing evaluation, modelling and recommendations, presenting insights through Power BI.
- Maintain accurate pricing models and oversee pricing & product changes through governance.
- Identify new product features, digital improvements and enhancement opportunities.
- Work cross‑functionally with Change, Risk, Credit, Operations and Technology.
- Ensure all proposals meet Consumer Duty, Fair Value and regulatory expectations.
What we are looking for
- Strong understanding of mortgage markets and distribution dynamics.
- Knowledge of pricing levers, margin drivers and product P&L impacts.
- Experience delivering product and pricing changes within structured governance.
- Advanced Excel skills; VBA/SQL/DAX a plus.
- Ability to interpret data, build pricing models and produce clear insights (Power BI experience beneficial).
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
- Proactive mindset, confidence with senior stakeholders and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Degree level education; numerate or analytical qualifications preferred.
