Nicholas Howard Limited are delighted to be recruiting for a Mortgage Underwriter to join a growing and ambitious specialist lender based in London, working on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will deliver excellence in customer service, making decisions in line with the Company’s responsible lending and underwriting policies. As part of a small and growing team, this represents an exciting chance to apply a range of skills and experience throughout the lending lifecycle, with plenty of opportunity for progression and development. Overview of Key Tasks: * Reviewing of mortgage applications against lending criteria to make robust lending decisions * Management of a portfolio of cases through to completion, working with case managers and brokers to ensure thorough assessment of suitability * An ability to consider cases outside of mandate and present lending rationale and and recommendations for approval * Adherence to all regulatory and conduct requirements * Confidence engaging with multiple parties, internal teams, brokers, customers, and solicitors If you enjoy specialist lending, complex cases, and have an ambition to continue to learn, develop and progress, then this is absolutely the right environment for you, with a passionate and driven team and culture!
