Nicholas Howard is partnering with one of our fastest growing international clients in looking for a commercially minded Contracts Manager to join its collaborative in-house legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working close to the business, advising on commercial contracts and helping teams navigate risk while enabling growth.

You’ll be supporting departments across the organisation including sales, procurement, operations and management, providing practical legal guidance that helps the business move forward confidently.

The Role

As a key member of the legal team, you will provide pragmatic, business-focused legal support across a broad range of commercial activities. You’ll review, negotiate and manage contracts, advise on risk, and help maintain strong commercial relationships with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial legal advice on contracts and business risks
  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements including:
  • Supplier and customer contracts
  • Software licences and SaaS agreements
  • Agency and service agreements
  • Work closely with teams across the business to support new customer and supplier onboarding
  • Manage contract registers and contract management systems
  • Research and advise on legal and regulatory issues
  • Liaise with external counsel, including international advisors when required
  • Maintain and update contract templates and internal legal documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve legal processes and ways of working
  • About You

    You are a commercially aware legal professional who enjoys solving problems and working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.

    Key Requirements

    • Legal training (Law degree, GDL, LPC or similar)
    • Experience handling commercial agreements in-house
    • Strong knowledge of English contract law
    • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate legal issues into clear business advice
    • Experience working within technology or IT sectors
    • Exposure to cross-border commercial agreements
