The Role
- You will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines, ensuring all components are produced accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, load and modify CNC programmes
- Set up tools and load materials onto CNC milling machines
- Machine precision components to specification
- Conduct inspection and first-off checks to ensure quality standards
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Identify drawing errors and recommend improvements
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Support production objectives and collaborate with supervisors and managers
Skills & Experience
- Fully skilled time-served engineer or toolmaker with CNC milling experience
- Experience as a CNC setter/operator
- Ability to machine non-ferrous materials to tight tolerances
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience with HEIDENHAIN control systems
