A reputable accountancy practice based in Dundee & Fife is looking to hire an experienced Accountant within practice who has experience of working closely with clients to prepare accurate statutory financial statements from client information. The role involves working with a broad portfolio of SME clients, ensuring all deadlines are met, and helping to manage, support, and develop a team of trainee accountants. This is a permanent, full-time role based in the Dundee & Fife area.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Preparing monthly & quarterly management accounts
- Drafting personal and corporate tax computations
- Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Preparing VAT returns
- Forming part of the senior management team within the office & supporting the accounts trainees with their development and training
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in an accountancy practice - essential
- Experience of managing a team within an accountancy practice
- Excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero and Sage
- Comfortable working to strict deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills
Qualifications:
- Fully Qualified ACCA / ICAS or Qualified by Experience
