Tooling Engineer – Days Telford, Shropshire. Working Hours: Monday – Thursday (8:30am – 5:00pm) / Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Tooling Engineer to join a successful and progressive manufacturing business who have been established in Telford for a considerable amount of time! With multiple sites on a worldwide scale and through significant investment in their Telford manufacturing site, this business offer job security, career development and a technically challenging working environment. This role supports manufacturing through the provision of both PPM and reactive servicing of Tooling on site. Role Description. * Service and maintain moulding tools to ensure smooth running of production. * Attend tool breakdowns and diagnose/resolve tooling issues. * Carry out regular checks of power tools and equipment, ensuring safe working condition. * Liaise closely with the tooling leader on tooling issues regarding production downtime, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs. * Inform tooling leader of spare parts used and low stock level items. * Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards. * Help in improving working practices, systems and processes in the toolroom. Skills and Qualifications. * Mechanical Fitting / Engineering / Tooling background. * Moulding Machinery experience within a manufacturing environment (desirable). * Experience of using lathes, milling machines and surface grinding tables (desirable). * Ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
