Nicholas Associates are partnering with a well-established and highly reputable RC frame and civil engineering contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing business with a strong pipeline of large-scale developments. As a key member of the commercial team, you will play a vital role in driving project success, leading on tendering activities, and contributing to the company's continued growth.

The Role

As Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction process, leading the pricing and tendering for RC frame, groundworks and civil engineering packages from £2m to £30m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lead detailed cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive tenders
  • Work closely with the commercial, technical, and operational teams
  • Attend pre-and post-tender meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Identify risk and opportunity in tender submissions

About You

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator
  • Proven experience in civil engineering
  • Excellent numeracy, attention to detail, and commercial awareness
  • Proficient with Candy or Conquest software
  • Confident communicator, capable of leading tender presentations and negotiations
