Nicholas Associates has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electronics & Firmware Engineer to join an innovative & award-winning tech client in Warwick.
Our client is looking for a Senior Electronics & Firmware Engineer with experience of embedded software to work on the electronics and firmware for their innovative range of products. You will be a part of a strong research and development team which includes electronics hardware, embedded software, cloud & backend software and mobile app development.
- Oversee PCB design and layout, ensuring best practice and high-quality results.
- Write and specify test plans for hardware verification and production testing.
- Support environmental and EMC testing during qualification.
- Perform circuit analysis including power consumption, component tolerance & reliability.
- Experience of delivering digital electronics designs from concept to production, preferably with a focus on battery powered, microprocessor-based applications.
- Be technically fluent in hardware with some experience of embedded software.
- Familiarity with standard interface busses such as SPI, I2C, UART & USB.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with environmental and EMC testing during qualification.
- Production test development & operation when working with in-house or contract manufacturers.
- Some experience of analogue electronics design would be advantageous.
- Mechanical or industrial design; Manufacturing engineering or factory test setups.
