Rate: PAYE £275 per day, Umbrella £350 per day
3 month contract working with a leading player in the automotive electrical sector.
- Carry out component and system-level packaging studies to define constraints within existing and new architectures.
- Support the development of mechanical concepts for battery pack integration, covering cell and module layout, HV and LV harness routing, thermal management and structural constraint within the system architecture.
- Deliver component and system design, CAD and 2D drawings from prototype through to production intent across transmission, battery and test rig mechanical disciplines.
- Maintain a high standard of CAD modelling and drawing output, in line with internal and external design standards, including GD&T.
- Use appropriate quality and CAD-based CAE tools in support of design activities.
- Prepare and release components, sub-assemblies and assemblies within the PLM system.
- Assist with the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and build documentation.
- Support internal and external design and DMU reviews, contributing effectively to technical discussions and resolution of actions.
- Support DFMEA reviews and 8D investigations where required.
