The predicted salary is between 29000 - 35000 £ per year.

Salary: Between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Shifts: Days regular, Monday to Friday

Location: Sheffield

Nicholas Associates are working with an established Steel Manufacturing company based in Sheffield, who are looking to add an experienced Transport Planner to their team on a permanent basis. The role will be responsible for optimising the movement of metal products within and outside the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Order books - reviewing impacts to schedules and changes
  • Ensuring efficient and effective customer communication
  • Dealing with Customer Approvals, Outages, Quality issues - Risk identification and mitigation
  • Being the main point of contact for Customers - Customer Relationship Management
  • Key interface between Customer, Supply chain and Operations
  • Dealing with the management of On-Time Delivery and Arrears
  • Having an understanding of Steel Manufacturing processes
  • Dealing with Quality/Technical Approvals
  • Stock Control
  • Other duties to support business

Key Requirements:

  • Preferably Degree Qualified or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ideally previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Planning/Scheduling/S&OP experience
  • Previous experience with MRP/ERP Systems
  • Previous experience with strong customer and operational focus
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships with excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working within a fast paced Manufacturing environment - ideally Engineering.
