We are recruiting for a hands-on Maintenance Team Leader / Maintenance Manager to join a high-volume recycling operation in South Yorkshire. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this is a key role responsible for leading and developing the site maintenance function. The role is approximately 40% hands-on and 60% office-based, combining leadership responsibilities with practical engineering involvement.

  • Planning and coordinating work for 2 Maintenance Technicians (1 Mechanical, 1 Electrical)
  • Supporting both reactive and planned maintenance activities
  • Supervising and coordinating 3rd party contractors
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects across site

We are open to candidates from either a Mechanical or Electrical background. Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial, however we would also welcome applications from experienced Maintenance Engineers looking to step into their first management position.

  • Apprentice trained or qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Maintenance Engineering
  • Proven experience working within industrial maintenance
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Familiar with CMMS systems and generally computer literate
  • Experience managing contractors on site

Experience within recycling, waste, heavy industry or similar sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential.
