An established manufacturing and engineering business is looking to appoint a Quality Engineer to support continuous improvement activities across production and quality operations. This role is focused on improving process capability, reducing variability and strengthening quality systems, while supporting both internal teams and customer requirements.
Working closely with production, suppliers and quality teams, you will play a key role in driving corrective actions, improving standards and maintaining robust quality processes. You will support day-to-day quality engineering activities across manufacturing operations.
- Act as the first point of contact for internal quality concerns
- Provide inspection support during periods of high workload or absence
- Conduct regular QA audits across production processes
- Lead and support 8D investigations and root cause analysis activities
- Develop and improve process controls to strengthen manufacturing quality
Experience within a quality engineering or manufacturing quality role is required, along with knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including PPAP, FAIR, ISIR, CAPA. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills are essential, as well as experience working within manufacturing or engineering environments. You should be able to communicate effectively across production, suppliers and customers.
