Nicholas Associates has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Test Engineer to join an established aerospace, defence and space programmes. The role will ensure that business first article inspection, materials testing and equipment calibration needs are met.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- To measure product and compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) against customer and business requirements.
- To manage the organisation's calibration database.
- To calibrate the company's measuring equipment against internal standards.
- To manage the calibration of off-site calibrated equipment.
- To carry out the tensile test of cast test bars/castings against customer and business requirements.
- To carry out the hardness test of cast test coins against customer and internal requirements.
- To carry out cast material composition testing against customer and internal requirements.
You will have:
- Qualifications/Education/Training: Engineering Degree (or equivalent) ideally including Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing/Production Engineering, Material or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years engineering experience.
