Purchasing Assistant / Trainee Buyer

Position : Purchasing Assistant, Trainee Buyer, Expeditor, Commercial Assistant Location : Essex, Brentwood, Basildon Salary : £27,000 - £28,000 Hours of Work : Monday to Friday Days Hybrid : Yes Flexitime : Yes Transport : Own transport beneficial ; site is 1 mile from nearest rail station Please note : We cannot offer any Visa support or sponsorship. You must have the right to work in the UK now and without the need for sponsorship in the future We cannot consider people coming straight from academiaAbout You : Experience of working in a commercial / purchasing / buying environment Good skills with Excel including pivot tables and VLookUp Good communication skills Close attention to detail Able to co-ordinate and maintain schedules schedules for all purchase orders and suppliers Able to work buyers looking for solutions to supplier late or short deliveries Happy performing clerical duties, maintaining accurate records and adhering to established procedures, policies, instructions and guidelines Able to manage the Inbound customs paperwork requirements being proactive to ensure any delays are actioned accordingly Happy managing deliveries at Freight Forwarders and timing of consolidation releases as well as ensuring all appropriate customs documentation available Able to review B3 Entries ensuring proper clearance of all incoming goods Able to action of all In-bound Queries, both documentation and quantity issues, to ensure timely receipt of product Able to obtain and verify accuracy of Purchase order acknowledgements in a timely fashion Expediting all open Purchase Orders with suppliers to meet delivery requirements as well as liaising with the internal Sales team to action ad hoc customer expedites Raising Purchase Orders in line with demandRequirements - Experience: Background of working in an environment where attention to detail is important Background of import/customs processes would be helpful ERP/MRP Experience preferred Purchasing Assistant / Trainee Buyer, Expeditor, Essex, Purchasing and Procurement, About Us We are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
