The basics:

Role: Procurement Manager

Location: Dunstable

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance

Hours: 37.5hrs – 3 days office and 2 days from home (manage own time with supplier visits etc.)

Holidays and Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance, Discretionary Bonus Scheme, 25 days holiday per annum.

Structure: Working closely with the Head of Supply Chain and part of the leadership team.

Overview:

We now require a Procurement Manager to join the packaging and process department for this first-class business that supply some of the best brands within their field. We are looking for a self starter and someone who wants to make the role there own – meeting with suppliers and potential new suppliers, making sure contracts are secure and correct. You will lead the sustainability piece as the company looks to package in a more sustainable way.

The ideal candidate Procurement Manager may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Previous experience working within a process engineering, packaging or manufacturing/FMCG environment or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS)
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and inventory control.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
