Do you have a background and understanding of materials and coatings - metallurgy, materials science, metal coatings for example?

Location: Near Lincoln

Salary: up to £55,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (37.5hrs)

Overview:

We now require a process engineer to join the metals coatings department and team of 4. Working for a large manufacturer that has sites across the world, you will work closely with quality and production, with a key focus on process improvements in the metals coating department.

Overview of duties:

  • Own and manage coating processes, controls, and documentation; lead non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
  • Drive process improvements with operations and quality teams
  • Provide expertise in costing, estimating, tooling design, project control, and process development
  • Support customer meetings and technical reviews on progress and results
  • Maintain expertise in coating equipment and operations
  • Create and manage documentation (SOPs, job instructions, routers, safety analyses)
  • Produce validation reports based on lab and test results
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental targets (zero harm)

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Previous experience in coatings of materials, materials science, metallurgy.
  • Degree educated in a mechanical engineering / materials discipline
  • Commutable from Lincoln, Gainsborough, Mansfield and surrounding areas
