The basics:

  • Pay: up to £40,000
  • Shift/hours: Monday to Thursday flex start times between 7am and 8am and finishing at 4pm or 5pm - early finish Fridays 12:00 or 12:30.
  • Location: Derby

  • Holidays/benefits: Production Bonus Scheme, Pension, Death in Service Benefit - 2 x annual salary, Additional Annual Leave Entitlement, 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year.

Overview:

Working in modern, purpose-built manufacturing facilities we now require a NDT Inspector (level 2 or above) to join the business. You will be working closely within the quality function of the business running the NDT department and actively working with the Heat Treatment process engineers - this is a varied role focused on quality.

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Manage the NDT/heat treatment processes
  • Maintain and improve quality systems to meet AS9100, ISO14001, NADCAP and customer requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and zero-defect culture through audits, KPIs, Walk the Floor routines, and lean initiatives
  • Support manufacturing and NPI by identifying, resolving, and preventing quality issues using robust control tools (PFMEA, PPAP)
  • Collaborate with and develop teams to achieve quality, cost and delivery

The ideal candidate / NDT Inspector may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques for metal components
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO14001 & NADCAP.
  • Knowledge of Process flow charts PFMEA & PPAP.
  • Previous experience as an NDT inspector at level 2 or above
  • Knowledge of heat treatment

Commutable from: Derby, Nottingham, Burton-Upon-Trent and surrounding areas.
