Location: York Area, North Yorkshire

Shift Pattern: Days (Monday to Thursday)

Salary: £19.70/hour

Reporting to: Planned Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

  • Perform Statutory and Preventative Maintenance on Plant and Equipment.
  • Respond to plant breakdowns.
  • Diagnose faults on plant and equipment.
  • Carry out Plant Repairs and rebuilds as required.
  • Manufacture replacement parts as/if required – lathe/milling experience preferred.
  • Assist in plant and equipment installation in line with design specifications.
  • Use portable plant and power tools correctly.
  • Welding and Fabrication.
  • Flexibility to work overtime if needed.
  • A good level of IT literacy to support the documentation side of the role using the company CMMS system.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role as a Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Technician.
  • Level 3 NVQ Mechanical Engineering or similar, is preferable.
  • Undertake additional training as required.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
  • Follow company safety systems and work protocol.
  • Experience with CAD / Solidworks, is advantageous.
  • Experience in Automation / Robots, is advantageous.
  • Electrically Competent – 18th Edition, is advantageous.
